| My Mom and I have lots of flower
gardens and were glad to see that some Praying Mantis's wanted to live
there and help us take care of our flowers by eating all the bugs that
are bad for flowers. At first praying mantis's are kind of scary to look
at but after you have let one crawl onto your hand and see that they think
you are just as scary, it's not so bad.
After surfing the internet and finding lots of stuff on how to keep them as pets I was able to catch a big green one then in a few days a big brown one. I have them in their own houses, aquariums, with sticks and plants. I feed them crickets everyday and they are very fast when they catch them. I asked my mom to take lots of videos of them so I can put pictures here for everybody to see. I also have pictures of a baby mantis trying to catch and eat my pet walking stick. Don't miss the "Lizard Cam", which has pictures of my "Anole" lizard, his name is "Slime-wick". I named him after the caterpillar in the Bug's Life movie, but hey I'm only 4 years old so to me it's "slimewick", I have 4 grown Anole lizards living in bushes around my house and sometimes I like to bring in a baby to raise as a pet. |
